GMDC’s CSR sits next to the mine gate: education, health, livelihoods, and environmental care in districts where lignite, minerals, and power are produced.
Health, Education & Shared Purpose
Medical camps, school support, drinking-water and sanitation works, and cultural programmes are run in project-affected villages — often with GMDCGVT, Krantiteerth, and local institutions.
The aim is practical: a mineral corporation should leave stronger clinics, classrooms, and community groups, not only production records.
Work, Training, And Local Assets
Skill development, employability training, and small infrastructure — roads, community buildings, sports grounds — help host talukas share in industrial activity.
Partnerships with iCEM and related centres extend that work into mining excellence and vocational pathways for local youth.
Environment Beside The Pit
Plantation, land restoration, and water-body work sit with livelihood support for families around operating areas.
