Beyond Extraction

Mineral Processing & Beneficiation

GMDC’s mandate extends past mining alone. Value addition — beneficiation and processing — upgrades minerals for textiles, chemicals, ceramics, cement, and power utilities.

Run-of-mine material is crushed, screened, washed, and graded so that buyers receive a consistent industrial input. Logistics from pit to plant to customer is part of the same chain: minerals should arrive usable, not merely extracted.

How Value Is Added

From Pit To Industrial Input

01

Handle & Size

Receive run-of-mine lignite and minerals; crush and screen to specified size fractions.

02

Beneficiate

Wash, separate, and upgrade grade so impurities fall and usable content rises.

03

Grade & Store

Stockpile by quality so dispatch matches the buyer’s process specification.

04

Dispatch

Move graded product by road and rail to factories, utilities, and traders across India.

Typical offtake: textiles, chemicals, ceramics, cement, foundries, and captive / merchant power users.
